Edinburgh Academy Christmas Fair 2012

Am very excited to be at this years Christmas Fair at Edinburgh Academy this coming Saturday. Am packing lovely Scandinavian Christmas gifts and treats.

This will be our second time and the layout has changed a little since last year, which I think will be fantastic. Am really looking forward to the food market, think this is where I will find some of my gifts and perhaps even some treats. Also looked through the list of stallholders and I think it will be absolutely amazing. Lisa and I will be there from 10.30 – 16.00 so do pop by and say hello.

Spektakulär out and about…

It is a busy time of the year and Spektakulär has signed up for a few events here and there and of course we would like to let you know where we will be, who knows maybe near by you:)

26th November: To all our Glasgow friends you will find us at Calderwood Primary in Glasgow. This will be our fourth time and it will be great. Even more Scandinavian looking Christmas goodies.

1st December: Edinburgh Academy Christmas Fair. This year it will be a one day event and it will be worth it, great stall holders and a big food hall so I think I will find quite a few of my Christmas gifts here.

13th December: Perfect evening to pop in to our “pop up” shop and celebrate Lucia at Sofi’s Bar in Leith. We will be there from 18.00 but I suggest you hang about with a glass of mulled wine to sing along with Lucia and her ladies at 20.00. It will be a great evening!

We have a few evening events booked at the shop, but there are still some left so do pop in and book you evening. Perfect opportunity to catch up with your friends, a glass of wine, lovely Bia Bistrot nibbles and best of all get your Christmas shopping done.

Mail order available

As you might know we are working very hard on our webshop, however yet again it has been put on hold or well not really on hold, the work is just a bit slower. Christmas is getting closer and we can already feel a bit of pressure of some early Christmas shopping in the shop so we will focus more on the shop until Christmas and then go back on focusing on the webshop.

However we do offer a mail order service, quite regularly we do have customers contacting us via email or phoning the shop asking if we can ship products and yes we sure can.

We will do a transaction over the phone and ship it hopefully the same day. We normally charge a Postage fee at £3, however it can change due to weight of item.

So if you see anything on our blog our on our facebook page or just hope we might have the product in stock just give us a ring and we will be happy to ship it to you.

We will do our best to make sure we put up more images from the shop on the web and on our facebook page.

Christmas at Spektakulär

Spektakulär is changing into Christmas… The shop is full of lovely colours and I am getting rather excited about Christmas this year!

This year we have introduced a new brand, Star Trading who have supplied us with lovely Advent paper stars with or without cables, perfect for advent.
Ester & Erik candles, both tall stunning taper and gorgeous cone candles in reds, gold, silver, black, cream, purple and plenty more beautiful colours.
Cult Designs perfect and fun gift “the Change Range”. Just mix and match, find your perfect colour combination and yay the Santas are here!
Broste Copenhagen’s beautiful ornaments makes me feel very Scandinavian.
Of course Sagaform’s amazing mulled wine sets and faboulous serving bowls. Perfect for the entertainer.
Linum’s lovely fabrics, rugs, cushions, runners and aprons.
Serholt’s quirky designs, such as their very popular felt baskets and tealight holders.

The shop is so full of great designs and it is so much fun to be at the shop right now. Am so pleased to see how the advents stars in the window looks at night. Sure is beautiful and I can not wait until 1st of advent when I will transform my own home in to Christmas.

I have taken a few photos from the shop and yes I know the quality is not great, think I will have to get Lisa to bring her camera one day to take some great photos.
