This week we had a delivery from Darling Clementine, lovely cards and something new… Cushion covers in three designs, already very popular. Made in strong heavyweight cotton and presented in a beautiful gift box. Personally I believe they are not just gorgeous but fun as well, they make you smile!!!

Also just to let you know that further reductions have been made on the clearance sale… Now you can find a bargain for sure, such as large linen tablecloths for £30, table runners from £6, candle holders from £8.50 and lots more.

Home sweet home…

Home sweet home…

Well Stina and I are home in Sweden for a little holiday. But of course I have my mind on Spektakulär all the time and yesterday we took a trip to Iittala outlet in Borås. Wow, amazing, a massive warehouse full of Iittala, Rörstrand, Högnäs, Moomin, Marimekko and lots more.

It sure is hard not to go too crazy in there, lots of lovely lovely designs and yes some of the products are seconds but not all of it, so you can defiantly find a bargain in there!!!

The kind lady at the shop let me take a few photos, so please enjoy and hopefully you can find some inspiration just like I have done (new tea towels to go with my new Pappelina rug in the kitchen). If you ever go to Sweden or why not Finland do try to find an outlet shop, I am sure you will be delighted.

MIDSUMMER MADNESS CLEARANCE…

Today is Midsummers Eve in Sweden and we are celebrating this here at Spektakulär with our first clearance!

Thanks to all of you, our lovely customers, we are getting busier and busier and as you might tell the shop is getting busier with more designs and we are struggling to find place for it all and more is coming during the summer.

We are looking forward to see you during the weekend and who knows you might find a bargain.

New Delivery

Menu arrived today with some new and exciting designs. Back in stock is the popular bottle grinder in carbon. Perfect as a gift or as a elegant spice grinder for your home. We have also added in the black and the pale blue “dropp” bowls, they are amazing!!! Fun and so useful for almost anything you like. After the success with the Verner Panton egg cups we introduce the thermo cups (set of 2) in an lovely midnight dark blue and a cheerful pink. And for the dining table a contemporary water carafe that is easy to use and you wont get a glass full of ice since it has a very clever design that keeps the ice and lemon/lime in the carafe.

Monday morning, for being mid June it is awfully cold and grey and surprise surprise the rest of the week does not look any better so here are a few images from the shop I took yesterday to cheer us up…

Delivery

A fantastic delivery this Friday morning, Sagaform arrived with lots and lots of favourites and also a few new products such as this very cheerful teapot called “Blossom” and for a day like today it is just perfect.

And for all of you waiting for the red wine carafe, better hurry because I believe they will be snatched up during the weekend for all those fathers who love red wine…

Any delivery is a joy to receive but I believe Emma is one very happy lady today since it is lots and lots of wonderful products from Sagaform (which I know is one of her favourites). So pop in and say hi and prepare your self for the weekend, if you are going to a party why not bring some of the fancy champagne flutes or a dinner party why not bring a lovely water/wine carafe. Or for that picky one, the Retro storage jars are perfect! We have plenty of ideas and are happy to help. And also don’t forget Father’s Day on Sunday!!!

Happy Sweden Day!

6th June is the Sweden National Day.

Here at Spektakulär we will celebrate this with an fantastic offer!

Spend £15 or more and we will give you a packet of napkins from Färg & Form for free. We  looked for the most Swedish thing we could find and yes, blue and yellow moose napkins…oh yeah! Don’t think there is something more Swedish than these.

And of course I took the opportunity to do a new window display, this in all blue and yellow.

Calderwood Primary Summer Fete

We did our first fair at Calderwood Primary yesterday and it was so lovely and a lot of fun… to be honest a bit stressful but it is always a first for everything! However we enjoyed it so much we have already booked us in for the Christmas fair.

I think I will do this more often, it is a great way to meet people and also to promote Spektakulär. So is there is any fairs you think we should look into let me know.

Cult Design visit

We also visited Cult Design. “Dare to be sqaure” is their motto. Most of their designs are cubes that you can mix and match however you like. Personally one of my favourite gifts ideas is the Change series.

It is such a clever idea, just invest in a base of your choice and then mix and match with covers and pots, perfect for the dining table, on top of the fireplace, in the window or why not in the bathroom. Very useful and sophisticated at the same time! At the moment I have strawberries on my kitchen table and the Santa is waiting as soon as December arrives, but before then I might add in a few orange, plum and other Autumn colours.

Our contact at Cult is the lovely Carina. She is always positive and very helpful! So during our visit she showed us all the new and lovely products and designs for the Autumn and Christmas, unfortunately it is all a secret so you just have to wait until the end of the Summer before I can show you those, however here are a few teasers from their showroom.

We are expecting a delivery from Cult this week with more of the Change series and a few new useful designs for your home. Why don’t you come on in and find your perfect treat or gift…

KG Design visit

You all know the colourful flower coasters in silicone, you must have it or someone you know…that is how popular this fantastic design is.
So while we were home in Sweden we met up with KG Design, run by the very enthusiastic and cheerful couple Fredrik and Jennie.
They have come up with lots of great ideas, all with quality and functionality in mind, and in vibrant colour that would suit any part of your home…why not!

So far we are the only reseller in the UK and we are so pleased to have them as a part of our shop. We stock coasters, trivets, knife magnets, Mr Uggly moneybanks, teatowels, doorstoppers and lots more, so come in and see for yourself, I bet you can find the perfect design for your home or a great gift (and since the silicone is quite light is a perfect gift to ship over seas).
